#GivingTuesdayYYC - Thinking About Community
CFN very much believes the non-profit sector of Calgary is a family of caregivers, helping those who need it most, however, and wherever we can. Each has its own story, its own passion and for #GivingTuesdayYYC 2016 we will highlight different organisations throughout the month that provide vital services to the City of Calgary.
All of us here at CFN strive towards collaboration with our non-profit family, as in the end, we are all here to help those who need it most, and by extension, help in making Calgary the best city in can possibly be for all who live here - And with 16 formalised partnerships with other community serving agencies, as well as more than 60 employers in the Calgary area, we don't just talk the talk - we walk it as well.
In the end, The non-profit sector is an important contributor to the economic health and vitality of Alberta. Charities and non-profits throughout the province support the quality of life enjoyed in Alberta, addressing social needs, providing recreational and leisure opportunities, delivering arts and cultural programs and stewarding our natural environment.
We encourage you to donate on #GivingTuesdayYYC, Nov 29 or throughout the Giving Season, to help support our vision and the ultimate goal for Calgary - A community that values diversity, in which people of all backgrounds find and create opportunities to fulfil dreams and participate fully as citizens.
