The Centre for Newcomers is committed to providing opportunities for students to fulfill their practicum requirements with us. However, due to organizational and human resource constraints, our ability to take practicum students may vary throughout the year.

 

• Individuals interested in completing their practicum with us are asked to submit the following:

• resume with a cover letter

• program of study

• duration of practicum, number of hours required and anticipated start date

• practicum supervisor requirements - any specific requirements

• supervision / evaluation - frequency and type of evaluation ( anecdotal, checklist etc)

 

Please note that often due to a large volume of applications, we will be unable to take all students. Additionally, we will only follow up with applicants that submit a complete application.

 

Prior to committing to a practicum placement, please note that an interview and security checks may be required.  An interview does not indicate that an applicant is successful.
