The Bi-Literacy English Classes will help adult learners improve their first language (Arabic or Tigrigna) and English literacy skills. Research shows that learners who understand the basics of reading and writing in their first language will do better learning to read and write in a second language. 

Classes will have first language and English activities based on learner needs and goals. The classes are for permanent resident, refugee, or Canadian citizens.

Students will also attend small group or 1-on-1 tutoring sessions in addition to the class time below.
