DRIVING SKILLS FOR NEWCOMERS (DSN)
The program provides driving training and job search support to newcomers who are actively seeking employment and require driving skills to enhance employment prospects.
Eligibility:

Unemployed or underemployed new immigrants without Class 5 driver’s licence and actively looking for work that requires a driving licence.

At least 18 years of age

Residing in Alberta

A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally entitled to work or train in Canada (as defined by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada).

Possess adequate English skills (CLB 5 and up)
The program offers:

In-car and classroom driving training for newcomers whose target employment requires a driver’s licence. Services will help participants gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to successfully earn a Class 5 driver’s licence.
